American Capitalism

Through the course of history many have debated the effectiveness of the American capitalist system.  Throughout this Humanities course we will explore, through fiction and nonfiction, the origins and effects of American capitalism. Is it an ingenious arrangement that propels innovation and prosperity, a cruel, dog-eat-dog system of exploitation, or something in between?  Either way, it now dominates the world, and students will be invited to draw their own conclusions. Students will receive one English credit and either one credit for Economics or one credit for U.S. History.

Capitalism A: Monday, Wednesday, Friday
Capitalism B: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday
