Dear 10C:

We are coming to the end! Here is what you need to know for the rest of the year:

1) I am offering office hours on Tuesday and Thursday so that you can meet with me regarding your work as much as possible.
2) The deadline to submit late work is WEDNESDAY, June 10th.
3) The Final Essay is due FRIDAY, June 12th.

Your Essay must include the following:
1) Be saved in your "My Historical Research Folder"
2) Be all on one document, which is titled "Historical Research Essay"
3) You must have an introduction paragraph which is modeled after your unified idea paragraph.
4) You must have 2-3 Body Paragraphs
5) You must have all quotes with proper in-text citations.
6) You must have a conclusion paragraph. The rubric for conclusions was discussed in class today and should be on the Writing 10 class page.
7) You must have a bibliography. I will not be teaching in to the bibliography, as you have received enough instruction on this throughout the year. There is a resource online and if you consult that you should be fine. There are no annotations necessary for this bibliography.
8) The essay and the bibliography must each have an MLA heading.
9) Essays should be 12 point font, 1.5 or double spaced. Times New Roman, Arial, Helvetica or Geneva are acceptable fonts. Bibliographies should be single spaced.

Graphic Organizers #3 and #4 are due tomorrow at the beginning of class. Graphic Organizer #3 MUST use sources from World History in Context. Graphic Organizer #4 can be from any of the 3 databases we have covered (you can be adventurous and try a different database on nypl.org, but please don't simply google your question).

Please label your graphic organizers clearly and place them in the "My Historical Research Folder." If you did not complete your organizers last week, this is a great opportunity to do so. If you have a total of 4 organizers in your folder tomorrow, I will assess all 4, although you will have reduced prep grades for #1 and #2.

During class tomorrow, we will have our weekly mini-fishbowl with online reflection.

See you tomorrow!

Please complete your 3rd graphic organizer using the database World History in Context. Access this database through nypl.org. If you do not use nypl.org, you will not be able to read the articles. This graphic organizer should be complete and placed in your "My Historical Research Folder" by the time you come to class on Thursday. The 4th graphic organizer is due on Friday.
