HW - Chem 10b/c

1. Look in your drive and locate the google doc I shared with you. It will be called illegal moves brochure. 

2. Complete the following sections: 

   a. Naming Rules - Only for ionic compounds. This section requires you to come up with a mistake when going from a formula to a            name. So if I gave you NaCl how would someone incorrectly name it and why. (You cannot use NaCl) 

  b. Writing Formulas - Only for ionic compounds. There are two parts to this. You have to write a mistake when writing a formula with     a polyatomic ion and another for monoatomic ions. So when you go from Sodium Chloride to NaCl what are some mistakes students      make. (Hint: think of errors when doing the criss cross rule. And for polyatomic when going from Sodium Hydroxide to NaOH, what      are some mistakes people make. (Hint: look at step E of the yellow graphic organizer.)
