Prudential Spirit of Community Awards

posted Oct 14, 2015, 7:19 AM by Ms. Danielle Salzberg
Just 3 weeks remain for students who volunteer to apply for local, state and national recognition through The Prudential Spirit of Community Awards.

The awards are open to students in grades 5-12 who have made meaningful contributions to their communities through volunteer service in the past 12 months. Top honorees earn cash prizes, crystal trophies for their certifying organizations, and an all-expense-paid trip with a parent or guardian to Washington, D.C. for the program’s annual national recognition events.

Applications are open through November 3, 2015 at http://spirit.prudential.com orhttp://www.nassp.org/spirit. By November 3, students must complete an application and submit it Ms. Salzberg or to the head of a local Girl Scout council, county 4-H group, American Red Cross chapter, YMCA or HandsOn Network affiliate.

Students who submit applications to Ms. Salzberg will be considered for Local Honoree status and  their applications will be certified for state-level judging. State-level honorees are announced in February.

Looking forward to seeing some applications about all the amazing service you have completed in the last year!
